Bullock Lake Farm is an incredible wedding venue on Salt Spring Island, one of the many Gulf Islands on the West Coast of Canada. Complete with a stunning outdoor ceremony plateau surrounded by grassy fields and towering trees, rustic style chairs covered with sheepskins, an outdoor space for long table dining and a beautiful barn filled with hanging lights for evening dancing, this is what farm wedding dreams are made of!!
This wedding used 100% Salt Spring Island grown flowers, and falling on the first weekend of September there were tons of farm fresh beautiful blooms to choose from. Some of the seasonal blooms available included dahlias, zinnias, scabiosa, cosmos, snap dragons, hop vine and more. When opting for a truly sustainable wedding using 100% seasonal blooms can be challenging. It can be very hard to fully commit to a particular color scheme and it’s best to be flexible and open to a “range” of colors. This color palette came together beautifully and I was absolutely was over the moon with it!! It ended up including varying shades of peachy/oranges, soft pinks, white and purples.
