Last summer I had the pleasure of being apart of a very small intimate Vancouver Island wedding. The whole wedding took place in a beautiful log cabin in East Sooke. The family wanted to support local as much as possible, which I love!! So not only was the lamb dinner from Metchosin but so were most of the flowers I used. It’s not every wedding that I get to spend the morning harvesting dahlias, scabiosa, and other unique flowers from Charles the Gardener. It sure was a treat, and a surprise because I really had no idea what he was going to have. There were many handmade touches to this wedding that made it special, from the bride’s gown to the cake. And my favorite detail was the vintage car, it made for some incredible photos!
